Hu Min was admitted to Xiangtan University at 15, began lecturing at 19, and became an Associate
Professor at 28. With decades of experience in language education, he has served as chief editor of
the IELTS 9 Score Achiever series, and was recognized by the British Council as one of the “20
People in 20 Years of IELTS” and by ETS as one of the “40 People in 40 Years of TOEFL.”
He is the author of Global Competence: The Core Literacy of Youth for the Future and Questions
Are the Best Teachers, and has translated influential works on global competence and education.
Since 2017, he has led the Telling China’s Stories in English book series and bilingual editions of
Chinese classics, contributing greatly to the internationalization of Chinese language education.
